When a debilitating case of rheumatoid arthritis and injuries from a hit-and-run car accident combined to make a full day’s work impossible, a man filed a claim on a disability insurance policy he had purchased from a major insurance company. After paying monthly benefits for two years, the insurance company started a sting operation to build a case against him. It almost worked, and then it backfired.

Then, the insurance company that had initiated the prosecution and denied the claim reversed its course and paid a large settlement to our client. The District Attorney dropped all criminal charges.
