We were hired by a successful former business owner in Manhattan to challenge a disability insurer’s denial of his claim. Our client suffered from severe dizziness when moving his head rapidly, while driving, and while walking. The claim was initially approved, but the insurer terminated the monthly benefits when it discovered that our client could still engage in some sporting activities on good days, when he was feeling better on a temporary basis.
We conducted our own investigation and vigorously challenged the insurance company’s termination of the claim. We gathered and analyzed the medical evidence, made a series of legal arguments, and attended anindependent medical examination with the client.
After reviewing the arguments we made on our client’s behalf and the additional materials we submitted, the disability insurance company reversed its decision, re-opened the claim, and resumed the payment of monthly benefits.
