We prevented a harassment lawsuit from being used to halt a successful real estate sale.
A real estate developer purchased an old house in an exclusive neighborhood with the intention of knocking it down and building a new home. The closing was halted when it was discovered that a neighbor had filed a last-minute lawsuit to stop the transaction. The neighbor had signed an informal agreement with the previous owner – and was now seeking to take over the property. We immediately filed an extensive motion to dismiss the case and the court granted the motion, allowing the real estate transaction to proceed.
