BIOGRAPHY

Jacob is an experienced real estate lawyer and developer with 40 years of experience in structuring, financing, and executing highly complex real estate transactions. He has acquired or developed over 5.5 million square feet of real estate located throughout the United States valued at over $2.2 billion.

Jacob was the CEO and Chairman of United Realty Trust, a public Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) which he founded, took public, and ran as CEO and Chairman until he sold it in 2015.

He founded Cabott Lodge Securities, a FINRA member Broker-Dealer and Investment Advisor, of which he was Chairman, and which he grew to over 125 offices throughout the U.S. with more than $1.5 Billion in assets under management when he sold it in 2016.

Jacob has participated as a speaker and panelist at industry events, has written extensively about real estate, has been an adjunct Professor of real estate finance at Columbia University, as well as a guest lecturer in the Master’s Lecturer series sponsored by New York Law School. As a recognized thought-leader in his field, Mr. Frydman frequently appears on television programs including FOX News, CNBC, Bloomberg TV, FOX Business, and podcasts, where he discusses trends in commercial real estate.

Today, Jacob is focused on consulting and advising developers, investors, and lenders, on commercial real estate.
