CIGNA Claim Terminations and Denials on the Rise

CIGNA’s disability claims offices are increasing the number of claim denials and terminations on its group disability book of business. A “termination” occurs when the insurer stops paying ongoing monthly benefits payments on a claim that was initially approved. This tactic, designed to save money for the insurance company, has been the subject of a widespread government investigation in the disability insurance industry. See our microsite at: http://www.unumprovidentclassaction.net/ Claim denials are when an insurer refuses to pay the claim from the outset.

Evan Schwartz of Schwartz, Conroy & Hack, formerly known as QS, has had great success in obtaining results for clients who have had their CIGNA claims denied or terminated. If you would like to speak to one of our attorneys about CIGNA disability claims, fill out the contact form on any one of the pages of this site and we’ll contact you as soon as possible.
