Cherie is an accountant with more than 30 years of experience with government and non-profit accounting. Mrs. Edmonston was the Claims/Audit Supervisor of Nassau County Drug and Alcohol Department, Program Development Supervisor for the ESG Emergency Homeless Grant, Fiscal Liaison for Nassau County Office of Youth Services, and an Accountant/Grants Manager for Nassau County Department of Health HIV/AIDS Grant. Before becoming a civil servant for Nassau County, Cherie was a Jr. Accountant for Island Federal Bank. Her experience in civil service has broadened her views on public service and community service.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Nyack College, her advanced master’s certificate in accounting with honors from University of Phoenix.
